The first thing I do after registering is send a message to Delisa. I'm thinking she'll be happy for me and surprised that I was able to register. Well, she's not too keen on what I'd do at ALL! She says, "Sheila, what have you done? Where are you going to stay? Who are you going with? You don't know anything about running Disney? I thought you hated the marathon? Now dread starts to set in.. I've already dropped 400.00 and now I've committed to running a marathon. I don't know a thing about run Disney. In fact, I've never even been to Disneyworld. I don't have a roommate, I haven't run more than 13.1 miles in a decade AND did I mention I just spent 400.00. The first thing that comes to mind is try to get a refund. Maybe I can get my money back and then sit down and plan a Disney race like a normal person would. I check this idea out with Delisa. Nope, Disney doesn't give refunds..
Plan B. just stop! If I stop right now, I will only be out of 400.00 instead of potentially a thousand or more. I toss this idea around with my neighbor Shantell who must've been sitting by the computer when I posted that I was going to Disney to run. She thought the idea of wasting that kind of money was ridiculous and volunteered to drive me and her children to Disney. They would visit family and I would have a place to stay, food and be able to run the race on a budget. That idea sounded ok and so I agreed. I still had regrets but so far the Plan B. had potiential and I began the next step which was to wrap my brain around the task at hand.
